As well as academic outputs this organisation works with business around the world providing contract research services and helping marketers to understand and benefit from applying scientific marketing knowledge into their marketing and brand strategies.
About the role:
The Commercial Coordinator manages the Business and Marketing team which is responsible for client relationship management, commercial negotiation, sales, marketing, brand management, publicity, finance and administration. The Commercial Coordinator is responsible for leading and mentoring the team, ensuring individuals have the skills, capabilities and resources to deliver in their roles. The Commercial Coordinator is also responsible for reviewing outgoing contract research proposals, negotiations with prospective clients and reporting on key performance metrics as well as providing consultancy to the Deputy Director (Commercial) for the development of the commercial strategy and strategic plan. This is an 11 month contract position, covering a maternity leave period.
Skills & experience:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading, mentoring and managing a team within a complex organisational structure, along with proven business acumen and the abilities to think strategically and build relationships that contribute to the achievement of organisational goals. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills will be essential for success in this role, along with the ability to develop and implement continuous improvement of policies, procedures, structures and systems.
