About the company
Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL) is a statutory body that administers a portable long service leave scheme for the South Australian construction industry. In South Australia, employees performing building, electrical or metal trades work predominantly on site are entitled to portable long service leave, meaning they don't have to work with the same employer for 10 years in order to be eligible. Portable Long Service Leave aims to provide the best customer service in assisting workers and employers, and to encourage workers throughout the industry to be able to accrue and take their long service leave sooner.
About the role
As the Senior Administration Officer, you will report to the CEO and provide support to both the CEO and Board as well as providing broader administrative support to the team at PLSL. This role has one direct report, the Field and Marketing Officer.
Duties
Board support services including compiling agendas, board packs and minute taking
Office management duties including stationary, printer, system and building access
Human resources responsibilities including recruitment, staff onboarding, performance reviews and record keeping
Oversee the activities of the Field and Marketing Officer
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience in processes for recruiting and onboarding staff
Experience supporting a Board
Previous management experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
National Police Check, or willingness to undertake
