In this workshop Dr Rebecca Perry will explore the connection between gut and brain health. We all know that “we are what we eat”, but recent research has revealed that what we eat can also have a profound impact on our mood and how we feel.
Workshop Outline:
Our facilitator Rebecca, is a PhD qualified Dietitian with over 20 years experience working in the health sector in a variety of roles. She has worked as a Dietitian in clinical and community settings and private practice. Her research has explored strategies to promote healthy lifestyle behaviours to children and families and her work has been published internationally. Most recently, Rebecca has worked in management positions with a national home care provider.
Rebecca will outline the science behind the gut microbiome and mental health and how to make some simple, practical changes to your eating habits to boost both your physical and mental health.
