Whoops, I'm a day late responding to an advertised position. Can I still apply?

Is there anything more frustrating than finding your ideal job posting only to discover you've missed the deadline? Job seekers frequently find themselves in this situation, unsure whether or not it is too late to apply for a job.

Timing

To begin with, grasp the concept of timing. Employers set closing dates for a reason. The most ideal time to apply for a job is within the first week or two following the posting date. In the event that you miss this deadline, it might still be possible and you have nothing to loose!
