Recruitment Agencies aren’t exactly the new kid on the block anymore. People all over the world in many different professions use their services daily whether it be to find employment, or as a company to help search, meet and hire new talent. But for all that we see and hear about recruitment agencies these days, there a still a lot of misconceptions out there about how they operate. At Entrée Recruitment, we often find new candidates are surprised by how our processes work. So to put the facts and fiction to rest, we have listed some of the most common myths candidates find when applying for work through a recruitment agency.
Recruitment Agencies, Labor Hire Companies and Job Agencies are all the same thing right?
Not necessarily. There are small, but significant differences between these types of companies. Job Agencies provide services to assist unemployed people in finding jobs while Labor Hire companies are engaged by clients to fill mostly temporary jobs, picking from a ready pool of candidates. A Recruitment Agency matches candidates (found through their database or a search) to positions available with their clients. They work equally for the candidate and client and are dedicated to bringing in the right people with the right skills for the right jobs. Entrée Recruitment, as a Recruitment Agency, fills both temporary and permanent roles for our clients with quality candidates that have been sourced and met either through recommendation, application or head hunting.
Do I have to pay to register?
Because we provide a service to job seekers, many people who consider applying for our roles or contacting us to register think they need to pay. This is an absolute myth, as registering with a recruitment agency is FREE! Recruitment companies are hired and paid by clients to source quality talent. By placing you in the perfect role, you gain employment and we complete a job for our client. It’s win/win situation!
Am I just a number to a recruitment agency?

Sometimes recruitment companies can make you feel like a number; they churn and burn through people without considering their wants and needs – only their resume. But not here at Entrée Recruitment. Our candidates are our lifeblood and when you meet with a consultant, they become your career mentor for the duration of your job search, whether that be days or years. Candidates have even reached out to their initial consultant years later and are brought back into the Entrée fold like an old friend. Having your own personal consultant is fantastic. When new roles come through that are a match for you, they will call you straight away. But, there is still some work required on your end. There are lots of jobs on at any given time.
