About the role:
Reporting to the Procurement Category Manager, this role is responsible for providing procurement and advice and support services to both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include maintaining existing supplier relationships, drafting and negotiating tenders, providing an internal consultancy service and monitoring service delivery. You will deliver optimal and sustainable purchasing outcomes relevant to the Universities objectives whilst providing support to other members in the team.
Skills & experience:
Demonstrated skills and experience in procurement
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships
Knowledge of contractual agreements and proven commercial skills
Experience managing projects and an ability to synthesise and manage complex information
Ability to work in a varied, pressurized environment
Strong attention to detail
