Due to significant growth across our business Tonkin is now looking to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper to the collaborative Adelaide branch of their National operations.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Bookkeeper will provide finance support to the business and ensure legislative and accounting process are followed in accordance with company policy and requirements. In addition to this the role will enjoy autonomy and hold responsibility for fortnightly payroll activities for a growing workforce of 160 people across SA, NSW, Vic, QLD and NT.
Key Responsibilities include:
General Bookkeeping and Bank Reconciliations
Processing Month End Journals and preparing Trial Balance till review stage
Accounts Payable processing, reconciliation, and payments
End to end management of fortnightly payroll process
Ensure employee expenses are reconciled and processed accurately
Administration of leave, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax and other ATO liabilities and reconciliation.
End of month reconciliations including processing of payroll journals and accruals
Assist CFO with implementing a new Payroll solution for the business
Reviewing processes and ensuring efficiency within the team
Working within a team to improve the performance of operations across all areas of the business.
Skills & experience:
Whilst you are ideally Certificate or Diploma qualified you will necessarily have strong, successful experience in bookkeeping and end to end, multistate payroll management. Your technical savvy and reconciliation experience will ensure that you can navigate multiple systems and your passion for award and legislative compliance will ensure the Tokin payroll systems and processes are robust. Strengths in Xero Payroll and MS Excel are essential, and you will need to display impeccable attention to detail.
