About the role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will partner with managers and supervisors to provide high quality coaching and advice on all people, quality and environment related matters, ensuring Butterfields’ high-quality services are delivered in a safe and professional manner. Your overall responsibility will be to direct and manage safety, quality and HR operations as well as develop, deliver, and review related strategy. Instilling a safety-first culture where reporting is positively promoted, incidents are investigated and actions are implemented, key tasks may include:
- Support managers in health and safety risk identification and minimisation
- End to end recruitment and onboarding
- Maintain the quality and environmental management systems (consistent with ISO 9001:2015 requirements)
- Ownership of companywide learning and development
- Monitor and advise on legislative change
- Analysis of company quality performance
- Policy and procedure development
- Management of all return to work matters
- Direct continuous improvement across all platforms of Safety, People, Environment, Quality, Risk & Compliance
Skills & experience:
Values driven, you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and have an instinctive ability to inspire and effectively communicate with a wide range of people. You will work within a fluid and progressive environment. It is essential that you have the ability to foresee potential issues and can quickly shift your priorities to adapt to time constraints and competing demands. You will have tertiary qualifications within a relevant discipline or are nearing completion of such and ideally have comparable experience within a service based organisation.
