About the role:
As Rostering Officer, you will be primarily responsible for efficiently scheduling staff and overseeing the front office. This is a fast paced environment where strong organisational and people skills will see you succeed in this role. Using CIM, you will ensure that rosters are reliable, cost effective, flexible and distributed within specific timelines.
Responsibilities include:
Staff rostering including creating the fortnightly roster and coordinating the replacement of planned and unplanned leave for nursing and care staff
Ensuring shifts are entered correctly, including applying any leave loading or sick leave, before being processed by payroll
Documentation management (including staff availability)
Responding to day-day HR and payroll queries
Oversee the front office and relieve the Receptionist for lunch and periods of leave to provide reception services to residents, family, visitors and the public
With streamlined processes and excellent staffing numbers in place, the role has the potential to expand into other areas including assisting with payroll and intake
Skills & experience:
To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience managing staff rostering systems, ideally in an aged care environment. You will have superior problem solving skills, work collaboratively with colleagues, be comfortable managing multiple tasks and have the ability to re-prioritise tasks throughout the day.
You must have demonstrated initiative and a customer-service focus, with excellent attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be a quick adopter of technology and have proficient computer skills.
Due to working in an aged care setting, the successful applicant will require a current National Police Check, current flu vaccination evidence and at least the first dose of the COVID vaccination
