About the role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller (FC), the Payroll Officer is responsible for the preparation and processing of the fortnightly payroll for over four hundred staff nationally. The role forms part of a well-oiled, positive, and professional team of four and could encompass various aspects of accounts dependent on the on the capabilities and capacity of the successful candidate.
Duties may include:
Preparation and management of the fortnightly payroll for over four hundred staff nationally
Review accuracy of approved weekly timesheets, in line with our award and company policies
Maintenance of the payroll system integrity by ensuring accurate employee records
Main point of contact for senior employee payroll related queries
Assisting the finance team with ad hoc finance and administration support
Skills & experience:
Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma of Accounting or Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping will be highly regarded as will experience in Pronto. Essentially, you will have recent success in a role with relevant responsibilities such as hands-on payroll processing. You are detail oriented, systems savvy and competent with MS Excel.
