About the role:
Reporting to the Business Leader, the Events, Promotions and Community Officer is a multi-faceted role that is responsible for consistent school branding and communications across a range of digital and print media, event management, and promotion of the recently implemented Seaview Plus program. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of innovative and effective activities that promote community engagement and supports and promotes student growth.
Coordinating a consistent approach to website, social media, and printing promotional materials that celebrate the school values and vision
Developing and maintaining a range of calendar activities for the school and managing communications on a routinely basis
Coordination of events, including but not limited to, Graduations, Open Nights, Showcase evenings and Formals
Proactively seeking opportunities to engage students, teachers, and the broader community with a view to emphasise school values
The Events, Promotions and Community Officer will be a bright and energetic go-getter, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience in a marketing, event management, promotions or communications role
Experience with social media marketing and WordPress highly desirable
Relevant study or qualifications in marketing, event management or communications is advantageous
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write accurately and persuasively to generate interest in a diverse audience
High level of attention to detail to ensure consistency throughout all outgoing media
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a range of backgrounds and ages
Flexible and adaptable to business needs in a dynamic environment with moving goal posts
Planning and organisational skills to manage tight deadlines and coordinate high volumes of work
Current Working with Children clearance and Responding to Abuse and Neglect certificate, or willingness to apply
