About the company:
Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) is a national community service that connects users involved in all forms of excavation with the infrastructure owners of underground services, using a fast, effective and free referral system. As well as providing this and other services, DBYD works with the infrastructure and excavation industries to promote safe work practices and the protection of underground assets.
About the role:
Reporting to the State Manager of DBYD SANT, the Marketing and Administration Assistant is a part time (20 hours per week), temporary position focusing specifically on marketing and administration tasks associated with DBYD SANT activities. This predominantly includes ensuring that marketing activities are delivered, working with members and industry to promote safe excavation messages and assisting with the effective administration and governance of the SANT business.
Duties:
- Ensure the ongoing effective promotion and branding of the DBYD service by assisting with the delivery of the marketing activities
- Create and distribute effective advertising and communication materials
- Ensuring ongoing delivery of social media posts
- Ensuring newsletters are delivered through MailChimp
- Effectively maintain member, marketing and administrative records
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries from members and customers effectively as required
- Timely preparation of invoices for authorisation of payment
- Assist with reports from quarterly board meetings
- Updating CRM
- Mail merges for EOFY member correspondence
Skills & experience:
- Knowledge of marketing principles and the processes involved in advertising, written communications, social media and general marketing
- Demonstrated experience in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Demonstrated experience in Adobe Cloud (Adobe InDesign essential) and MailChimp online newsletter tool (online marketing software)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM database software
- Ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or business management are desirable but not essential
