ANMF (SA Branch) also operates an inhouse legal firm, Union Legal SA, providing legal services to both members and non-members, and works with other partners to support the Rosemary Bryant Foundation, a charity sponsoring nursing and midwifery research.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Administration Assistant to support the 5 lawyers at Union Legal SA. Reporting to the Chief Counsel, the role is full time with working hours 8:30am – 5pm. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient functioning of Union Legal and will involve thinking ahead, pre-planning and adhering to strict timelines. Duties will include providing legal administrative support, preparing and proofing legal documents and briefs, preparing cost agreements and letters, maintaining the LEAP database and liaising with internal and external customers.
Skills & experience:
We are seeking a Legal Administrator who has highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills. The successful candidate will have initiative and be self-directed with strong attention to detail. Experience using LEAP as well as experience working in the areas of Workers Compensation and Employment Law are highly desirable. The successful candidate will also have or be willing to obtain a DHS Criminal History clearance.
