Hastwell is currently seeking multiple contract IT Infrastructure engineers including storage, backup, networking, firewall, virtualisation, file systems and database administration to work within the Defence industry.

While you would be based at a Northern suburbs location for an initial 12 month contract period, Hastwell is committed to developing a close-knit tribe of experts and, by bringing you on board, will support your further career development and offer the potential for further extensions or even permanency.

About the roles:

With multiple roles available, these include:

• Network and Firewall Engineers
• Systems and Database Administration
• Virtualisation and Cloud Engineers
• Storage Engineer
• Linux Engineer

Skills & Experience:

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years administering, managing, and/or supporting one or more of the following: 

• NetApp / NetBackup
• Windows or Linux desktop / server administration (Centos / Red Hat)
• Linux scripting in either bash, perl or python
• VMware Product Suite including vCloud, ESXi, VMware NSX
• XenApp and XenDesktop
• Database administration (Microsoft SQL, Power BI)
• Network infrastructure and hardware
• Cisco Routing and Switching (NAC and 802.1x) 
• Cisco ASA Firewall 
• Palo Alto Firewall

You will display a passion for continuous learning along with confidence, adaptability and broad technical knowledge to be able to work as a collaborative member of a team, maintain internal and external customer relationships, and troubleshoot and investigate complex systems.

You must be an Australian Citizens for these roles and be eligible for an AGSVA security clearance. Ideally you will already hold a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance.
