About the role:
Immunisation Nurses will provide safe vaccination and nursing care for participants of vaccine clinics in a variety of workplace settings. Duties include:
Provide safe immunisation and nursing care in accordance with the National Standards set by the National Health and Medical Research Council
Complete and return required forms in accordance with AusHealth’s quality requirements and in an efficient and timely manner
Obtain valid consent from participants receiving vaccines prior to administration
Determine the patient’s state of health at the time of vaccination
Liaise with the consultant doctor as required
Advise the Manager – Workplace Wellbeing and appropriate authorities of any adverse reactions
Provide a timely response to a request for site attendance by Customer Service, including out of hours’ work
Provide regular availability status to Customer Service
Maintain high levels of confidentiality of all information made available to the position
Maintain a customer centric approach
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in relevant professional organisation events
Skills & experience:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
Current state/territory Immunisation Certificate (with updates where necessary)
Current CPR Certificate
Possession of a smartphone, current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle is essential
Fully vaccinated against Covid19
Current or willingness to apply for National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
Experience administering vaccinations unsupervised is essential
Experience in management of adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) is essential
Demonstrated commitment to customer service with the ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships and ensure delivery of consistent, efficient and high-quality service
Ability to work autonomously

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Sound conflict resolution skills
Effective time management and organisational skills
