About the organisation:
Scouting is a growing worldwide youth movement with over 25 million members, 7,000 of those in SA. The aim of Scouting is to encourage the development of young people so that they take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens, and as members of their communities. The SA office supports volunteers in administering the Scouting programs and supports the operations of Scout Outdoor Centre – Exurbia, Scout Recycling Centre and Woodhouse Activity Centre, with a total of approximately 240 internal staff members.
About the role:
Reporting to the Human Resources (HR) Advisor, The HR and Work Health and Safety (WHS) Administrator will provide support in administration and coordination of activities to ensure up to date systems and frameworks as well as supporting the relevant activities of the HR Advisor, Risk and Compliance Manager, the CEO and leadership team.
Duties include:
Assist with WHS evaluations of Scouts SA facilities
Administer the integrated health and safety management system
Support the development of an WHS Training Management Plan
Maintain and update staff records
Ongoing review and development of HR and WHS related policies, procedures, templates, and guidelines
HR related data entry and document creation
Skills & experience:
With previous relevant and successful working experience in a similar role, the ideal candidate will also hold or wish to undertake relevant business, HR or WHS training or certifications. Your success will be supported by excellence in verbal communication and high-level accuracy in record keeping. Contemporary HR knowledge will underpin your ongoing success. The appointed applicant must obtain a Department of Human Services Working with Children Check.
