About the role:
Reporting to the Finance and Accounting Director, they are seeking a Finance Assistant to cover for a maternity leave period. Starting in mid-late November there will be a comprehensive handover period to ensure success for the incoming temporary employee. The position will continue until the end of May 2021 and will remain a temporary employee of Entrée Recruitment during this period.
This role will contribute to the support function of grape growing, wine making, sales and distribution across Australian entities, working in collaboration with staff to provide financial and administrative support. Contributing to create world class wines through a culture of maintaining well being, accountability, uncompromising detail, a cohesive team and innovative growth.
Duties:
Using the Xero system, this role has a blend of finance and administration duties. Daily tasks include high volume accounts payable, processing bills, staff reimbursements, batch payment runs, creditor account maintenance, accounts receivable, processing sales orders, invoices, aged debtor maintenance, cash handling, petty cash distribution, reconciliations and banking. In addition, you will undertake the transport coordination which involves liaising with distributor and transport companies to meet logistic requirements. As working for any small team, there will be ad-hoc administration duties to undertake when required.
Skills & experience:
The successful individual will have a strong commercial understanding of accounts payable and receivable coupled with a Diploma in Accounting. Understanding the importance in numbers and how this impacts the end result is vital. Strong attention to detail, a curious mind with analytical and problem-solving skills is a must. A current driver's license is required, given the location of the role.
