In South Australia, employees performing building, electrical or metal trades work predominantly on site are entitled to portable long service leave. This means they don't have to work with the same employer for 10 years to be eligible for long service leave.
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Officer to join the small, close knit team at PLSL. Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, the Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing efficient and effective administration and customer service support to the team. The role will sit between reception to cover telephone and counter enquiries, and in the back office conducting administration and data entry tasks. This is primarily a phone based role where you will be required to understand and relay complex information to clients. Other duties include handling correspondence including incoming and outgoing mail, resolution of enquiries, accurate and appropriate management of records and electronic processing of employer returns.
Skills & experience:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to operate phone system and manage multiple calls
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including staff and key stakeholders
- Good understanding of databases and database management
- Use of electronic records management system
