Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL) is a statutory body that administers a portable long service leave scheme for the South Australian construction industry. In South Australia, employees performing building, electrical or metal trades work predominantly on site are entitled to portable long service leave. This means they don't have to work with the same employer for 10 years to be eligible for long service leave.

About the role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer/EA to join the small, close knit team at PLSL. Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager and CEO, this is a dual role providing administrative and assessment services as part of the broader field team whilst also providing support services to the CEO and the Board. The majority of time is spent interacting with industry clients in the resolution of enquiries, registrations and investigations. The remainder of the time is spent providing support to the CEO and Board including assembly of Board Papers and minute taking at monthly Board meetings.

Skills & experience:

The ideal candidate will have administration and customer service experience, looking to take the next step in their career. An excellent communicator, you will have impeccable written and verbal communication skills and an ability to build relationships. Self motivated with plenty of initiative, you will be able to work under broad direction. Essentially, you will value the importance of having a high degree of confidentiality, working with private and sensitive data. You will be a team player and happy to pitch in where required.
