About the company:

Metco Industrial specialises in the design, assembly and manufacture of industrial water blasting equipment. For more than 30 years, Metco Industrial has been servicing markets across Australia and the South Pacific, supplying industrial services firms with customised solutions for high pressure cleaning and surface preparation as well as cold cutting and hydro-demolition. To support their ongoing growth, the close-kinit team are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join them at their Beverley location.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing, growing and maintaining relationships with clients across South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria. Every day you will take a proactive approach to exploring new client opportunities, forging fruitful relationships and building brand awareness.

Key responsibilities include building a strong pipeline of potential sales opportunities through phone-based and face-to-face interactions, as well as contributing to developing and implementing a business development and sales plan in line with short-term and long-term business objectives. You will also represent the company at regular industry events and conferences both locally and interstate.

Skills & experience:

You will have a personal drive for success both individually and as a team as well as a forward planning mindset. Extensive in-house training will be offered to ensure you have confidence in the products you are working with.

You will also possess:

• Strong B2B external sales focus and experience
• Proven success in articulating the benefits and value of products or services
• Natural networking abilities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
