About the company:

This is a great opportunity working for an energetic and enthusiastic boutique accounting firm based in the heart of Unley. The firm is dedicated to helping their clients achieve their goals and objectives through supporting business growth and by providing comprehensive tax services, management accounting, business planning and software support. 

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Accountant and working in a team of six, you will look after a portfolio of accounts. You will work with a diverse client base ranging from small business to large companies across a variety of industries. Assisting clients through high quality, efficient and accurate financial accounting, and best service delivery, you will foster positive working relationships based on trust and reputation. 

Key duties:

• Prepare tax returns (across varied industries including allied health, real estate, medical, IT and trade services)

• Prepare financial statements and BAS returns

• Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders including clients and ATO

• Ad hoc administrative duties (queries follow ups)

• Book-keeping

Skills & experience:

• University Degree in Accounting or related discipline

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of exposure in an accounting role

• Working knowledge of XERO

• Experience working with MYOB preferred

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices as well as Australian tax legislation

• Advanced communication skills and impeccable attention to detail

• Background working with payroll highly advantageous
