About the company:

Waterfind is a pioneer in the water market industry. The organisation facilitates the buying and selling of both permanent and temporary water across the major irrigation regions of NSW, QLD, SA and VIC. With a strong focus on innovation and quality systems, they now have a vacancy for an Accountant to join the head office team.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager of Business Operations, this autonomous role will see you develop and maintain financial modelling spreadsheets for monthly management reporting, as well as working on a variety of ad-hoc accounting projects to help streamline processes.

Duties:

• Develop financial modelling spreadsheets
• Assist with year-end statutory reporting
• Assist with FBT, trust auditing, company tax and insurance renewals
• Manage water trade processing for settlements
• Manage available cash resources
• Provide backup for payroll processing

Skills & experience:

• Degree qualification in Accounting
• CPA certification
• Demonstrated experience using financial spreadsheet modelling
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office
• Proven experience with MYOB or other accounting package
• Exemplary communication skills
